Something to See | Short Poem No. 63

Are you in need of a something to see
inside a world without a dream?
Are you sick of bending on your bruised knee,
into the mediocrity?
But now you have a sense of new living
from an inspiration standing
before your own feeble-minded being
from which towers above all things.
Shocking power explodes from all around,
coming from the dominating
figure that has defined the heart of town.
The deity; follow the king.

But look deeper, see the true Lord appall,
Who lays His life, His crown, for all.

Leave That Kid Alone | Short Poem No. 62

Hey you, why don’t you leave that kid alone
before I make you go back home.
Hey you, why don’t you leave that kid alone
drop down your words, your stick, your stone.
No one wants to deal with what you’re saying;
so, please, just stop and cut it out.
No one agrees with how you are playing.
and that’s without a bit of doubt.
Don’t think that we will stand and watch silent
while you harass a friend of ours.
For a stranger, we will also get bent
and send you back out through the doors.

Be a bully to fight away bullies.
But don’t learn how to be bullies.
