As She Glances at Me | Poetry Remix No. 13

14 line poem, she glances at me

I write this poem as she glances at me. . .

I walked into the room,  I stuttered.

What did my eyes see?

An image of pure beauty fluttering

before my eyes – as I was dreaming of what to be.

She was sitting down all relaxed and calm,

while my heartbeat crept fast.

She laughed, like she held me in her palm

with strings controlling me like a marionette.

Why can women be so cruel to a young man –

By burying our hearts with just a laugh?

And giving us a quick, flirty glance now and then?

Shooting their perfumes to us with cruel intentions?

Or does she just not know the games she’s playing?

Didn’t she make the moves that I thought she made?

Beauty and a Beast.
Energy and Transformation.
Memories and Forever.
Intimacy and Joy.
Near and Far.
Everything equals Us.

Ride and Carry On | Poetry Remix No. 12

don't quit, ride and carry on

Ride and carry on, I can only stay.
Every day I look into your faces.
Different situations, different phases.
A dead stare wondering who will be there.
Enthusiasm to make someone care.
Ride and carry on, I can only stay.
Hopeless girls wonder if they are enough.
And chronic pain only makes it more tough.
Sometimes I wonder how long they’ll remain.
Some will let go and embrace the insane.
Ride and carry on, I can only stay.
