I Broke Your Heart | Short Poem No. 92

I broke your heart

I broke your heart
and made you cry.
I can’t ever
take that back.

I didn’t watch
with my mind’s eye.
I can’t ever
simply go back.

When I toss words
out to the sea.
They float to none;
only to me.

But when I toss
words to a friend.
I can’t redo
that bitter end.

Can I redo
that bitter end?
