“Heart at Peace.”
A long day coming, like a hurricane.
Came to work happy, but now not okay.
Whatever happened, we’ve been there before.
Hiding in his house, in his room, shut door.
And he plays on his guitar
things he feels inside his heart.
When the world does fall apart
and everyone feels so far.
Came to the world as simple as could be.
She wanted little things, not like you, me.
But the world never told it would be cruel.
Left her brokenhearted, feeling a fool.
So she plays on her guitar
things she feels inside her heart.
When the world does fall apart
and everyone feels so far.
Still, they play on their guitars
and they pray a little prayer.
And the peace inside their hearts
lets them know that someone’s there.
