Let It Go and Move On | Short Poem No. 30

Does your gut ever tell you to just let it go and move on?

I’ve been here a time or two

(just let it go).

It’s the same familiar smell

(just let it go).

And everyone’s still the same

(just let it go).

Everyone plays this game

(just let it go).

let it go and move on

I thought it’d be different now

(just let it go).

I thought I needed to make this right

(just let it go).

I’m ready to win this fight

(just let it go).

I thought I needed to make this right

(just let it go).

We all live our lives in circles

trying to relive the past.

Reaching for what we thought we lost

while losing what’s been in our grasp.

Let it go and move on.
